This year, the EU's Copernicus earth observation program recorded the hottest October worldwide since data recording began. The average temperature was 0.85°C above the average for the reference period 1991-2020.
Copernicus provides a comprehensive climate database with the Copernicus Climate Change Service (CS3). The physical climate risks module of the Climcycle software uses projection data from CS3 as a main source for the calculation of a risk score for the climate risks defined in the EU taxonomy. The scores are calculated individually for a specific location by entering the geo-coordinates.
